Essay 2
When I first finished the second research essay, i realize that i'm not actually touching the points that i was aiming for. I found a lot not grammar errors and structure errors, but also miss use of vocabularies that would throw off the readers. through the process, i only compared my own idea to wests article, i wasn't sure if we need to put the comparison to another article in the paper; which might be a mistake too. Over all, i would give myself a 3 out of 4, I'll need more time to work on this. For the peer readers, i wish it can be focused editing on the idea and sentence structure errors. I probably will have to set up a meeting at the TLC that will help me on this essay.

Where do you plan to go with your essay? What are you struggling with?
At first I was really confused about the topic of the essay, after reading some research paper; I'm deciding to analyze my own blog that will reveal my personality. I'll first list what I think my personality is like, and prove these identities from the examples. Learning from Wests Article, I'll be using a data table to help organize ideas that comes from close reading my own writing. Listing the tones and emotions of the writer, myself, and relate them to the ideas. Later I’ll be integrating my blog not only with West article, but also Rak's article. Rak, Julie. "The Digital Queer: Weblogs and Internet Identity." Biography 28.1 (2005): 166-82. Print. "The rhetorical strategies in this segment of the blogging community do not differ much from those of other bloggers, because blogging as a genre tends to consolidate its own practices and subjects as one of its effects."(RaK). Using Raks idea, I can show how one writer is creating his/her own environment with blog. What troubles me the most is finding the right article to integrate into my blog. I spent long time reading over articles until realizing that the article I’m reading isn't the one that i needed. Finding the topic to analyze upon has given me the difficulty while coming up with a plan on the essay.

West's connection with my essay
West's research paper indicates how one new technology can impact in a class room. A teacher is able to view more in depth of student's life. She analyzes couple examples to relate her answer to the research question. In my essay, i might come up with similar process, but with my own paper. i'm going to look at my own paper and see how it is identifying my own characteristic. After writing for class over almost a quarter, we are actually creating a self image online. I'm going to analyze my own level of literary and viewing my own posts from a third person view. A third person view allows the writer to rearrange the meaning of his own articles; rethink the meaning of the composed writing and reanalyze the insight of the author himself. We, as students, will be more able to rethink possible ways of creating better image of him/herself through composing art.

How will you apply West's essay to your essay?
From what i have read from West's article, the author uses several tools to analyze a blog. For example, a table that labels the elements of the literary devices that can be defining a writer's identity. Cathleen uses the tables to clearly label out the characteristics in a person's writing and rationally relate them to one identity. My essay will be using the second topic choice, "Apply West’s framework to examine any blog of your choice to make an argument about how identity is expressed online". I will be analyzing other's essay, put them in a form of table and relating the elements. Separating the topics that will help me organize the subjects, and explaining how this would answer my question.

Engage with the West's article and talk about what you find to be significant.
In the article by West, he questions himself with blogging, "What is the nature of literary response
as communicated via weblog?", he answers himself with responses like Theoretical framework and
research methods, and “Serious literature students” meet “Web-literate communicators”. He compares the Theoretical framework and methods. He made tables for different blogs. I find it organized and clear to make these tables. He compares Situated meanings, Social languages, Discourse models, and Situated identities; he puts examples under the categories. "Although the social languages involved in being a serious literature student and a Webliterate communicator are certainly inter-textual in themselves", the author relates the importance relation between of literature and blogging. He conclude the article by stating the pros and cons of blogging, being able to understand the students more.

essay 1
During the process of writing essay for the analysis of the blog, how it can be identifying the personality of the author, I learned that one has to make argument and pull the audience into the conversation in order to be rational to make a point. When i'm writing the draft, there was a constant revising stage. start an argument when writing a paper. One has to learn how to pull the audience into the same situation and thinking. One must set hooks for the readers. One must tell audience some interesting information about the topic.
Relating to my topic from blogs because the blog that I'm researching on is a organization blog even though I'm trying to look at a individuals writing, we can still see a person's personality from other people's description.

reflecting on my first essay in Tcore 101
In the very first essay we work on together in class, I did a research on Trumps blog. Donald Trump is a Business successor who owns real estate companies and world casino hotels. He is a bright public figure. When i first started this essay, i didn't know who he is; only thing that interested me was the fact that he is an investor. Not only an investor, he’s also a teacher that tells people how to have the right attitude for the hardships.
By writing this paper, i learned how to start an argument when writing a paper. One has to learn how to pull the audience into the same situation and thinking. One must set hooks for the readers. One must tell audience some interesting information about the topic. The main idea is to reflect the public thinking and add writer’s own thinking.

They say, I say
What I would revise my essay is to trying to relate what the audience already know and written back and forth to keep reminding the readers what the argument is. In the book author talks about how one can reinforce his essay by using some of the templates. These templates should help the writer to develop a better language. I would take some of the templates to do so. I'll need to relate what the argument is to the audience constantly. I'll try to summarize my view points in to couple sentences in the introduction that will help give a better image of my argument.
